Tim Gannon has held numerous roles at USDA and on political campaigns where he has focused on improving life on farms, ranches, and in small towns like the one where he grew up in Iowa during the 1980s Farm Crisis. He has built coalitions for Presidential candidates, stood up new or improved economic development and farm safety net programs, and taken on roles with the family farm in between.
In his most recent role at USDA, he served as both a senior advisor to Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and as the chief of staff to the Under Secretary for Farm Production and Conservation, putting him in the middle of efforts to create new markets for farmers, improve crop insurance options, and implement historic conservation efforts.
